1. The Pre-Exchange Journey
The journey begins long before arrival to ensure students are grounded and prepare.
Relationship Building: Students participate in letter-writing, photo sharing, and virtual introductions with host families.
Peer Pairing: Each visitor is paired with a local student for mutual learning and shared responsibility.
Collaborative Planning: Students identify community challenges and brainstorm solutions together before they travel.
2. The Homestay Experience
Our “Mission House” serves as a peaceful home away from home:
Comfort & Safety: Clean, well-ventilated ensuite rooms (single or double) with dedicated quiet spaces for reflection.
Community Dining: Home-cooked Kenyan and international meals designed to accommodate dietary needs and foster connection.
Supervision: Trusted adult mentorship and 24/7 secure management.
3. Learning and Immersion
Students spend at least three days a week deeply immersed in local education and community life:
School Immersion: Attending classes and assemblies at partner schools like the St. Benedict Education Centre.
Entrepreneurial Projects: Engaging in social impact initiatives, such as co-designing sustainable solutions with local youth or supporting women-led enterprises.
Daily Reflection: Evening dialogue sessions to process experiences of service, privilege, and leadership.
4. Adventure and Culture
Cultural exchange is balanced with exploration:
Authentic Living: Participating in daily community walks, home visits, and learning local traditions.
Excursions: 14-day itineraries can include hiking local hills, Lake Victoria camping, and Maasai Mara adventures.
